True North is strengthening its coastal logistics capability with the introduction of Topaz Amur, a next-generation Multi Carrying Vessel joining the fleet from March 2026.
Built on the same proven vessel platform as Topaz Tobol, Topaz Amur retains identical dimensions, draft, and performance characteristics. The key difference lies in its integrated container locker configuration, which delivers a step-change in container carrying capacity.

Capacity Comparison

Topaz Tobol: capacity for 0 containers (40’)
Topaz Amur: capacity for 30 containers (40’)

This represents a significant increase in capacity per voyage, achieved without increasing vessel size or compromising RoRo or LoLo operations.

Operational Impact

  • Significantly higher cargo volumes per sailing
  • Improved efficiency on container-heavy routes
  • Reduced voyage frequency for equivalent throughput
  • Greater flexibility across mixed cargo profiles

The accompanying renders illustrate the fully loaded configurations of Topaz Tobol and Topaz Amur, clearly highlighting the capacity gains enabled by the upgraded container stowage arrangement.
